We’ve put together this handy itinerary to help you make the most of your day - from meeting incredible animals and exploring immersive attractions to enjoying delicious food and thrilling rides!

10:00 - EXPLORE THE SAFARI WALK

Open from 10am (9.30am in August) you can start your adventure on foot with the Safari Walk! Begin at Penguin Cove, where you can watch adorable Humboldt penguins waddle, swim, and play. Then, step inside the mysterious Twilight Cave, home to two species of free-flying bat. Walk among life-sized animatronic creatures in Ice Age & Land of the Living Dinosaurs. Don’t miss the fascinating creatures in Reptile House and the miniscule pygmy marmosets.

11:00 - LISTEN TO THE RED PANDA TALK

Stop by Red Panda Retreat to listen to a fascinating talk by one of our dedicated Keepers. Learn even more about our adorable red pandas, Mei Lin and Sanka!

11:30 - JOURNEY ALONG THE AFRICAN WALKING TRAIL

Continue exploring on foot along the African Walking Trail, where you can marvel at the elegant giraffes and watch rhinos grazing in their spacious habitat. Observe elephants as they roam and see the sleek and speedy cheetahs resting or playing. 

12:00 - REFUEL WITH DELICIOUS DINING

After your morning of exploring, enjoy a tasty lunch at one of our dining spots. Head to Dino Diner for family-friendly meals in a fun, prehistoric-themed setting. For juicy burgers with all your favourite toppings, Burger Co. is a must-visit. Or stop by one of our kiosks like Wild Bites or Amigos to pick up a tasty jacket potato or open burrito!

1:30 - SET OFF ON THE SAFARI DRIVE

Now it’s time to hop back in your car and embark on the Safari Drive. This four-mile journey takes you through incredible habitats where you’ll spot majestic lions, towering giraffes, powerful rhinos, inquisitive wild dogs, graceful zebras and more – all from the comfort of your own car.

Please check opening times before your visit, as the Safari Drive closes earlier on off-peak dates. On busier days, it can take over 2 hours to drive around the Safari.

3:00 - VISIT THE AFRICAN VILLAGE

Next, visit African Village. Meet the cheeky meerkats and enjoy their playful antics. Stroll through Lemur Woods, a walk-through exhibit where lemurs roam freely around you for an up-close experience. Conclude this part of your journey by seeing the impressive bachelor group of lions at Lion Ridge.

4:00 - THIRLLS AT THE THEME PARK

Round off your day with adrenaline-fuelled fun at the Theme Park. Pick up your ride wristbands or ride tickets (charged extra) and enjoy a variety of rides and attractions suitable for all ages - perfect for adding extra excitement to your visit.

Please check opening times before your visit, as the Theme Park closes earlier on off-peak dates. Only open during our summer season, from February half term to October half term.
