Meet Your Favourite Characters this Half Term at WMSP
We are excited to announce that popular children’s TV characters will be coming to meet and greet guests at the Park, this May half term.
The nine-day event, running from 25 May to 2 June, will start with the return of Bluey, whose appearances sold out during February half term, earlier this year.
Hey Duggee and PAW Patrol characters, Chase and Skye, will also be returning, alongside first-time appearances from much-loved pre-schooler character, JJ from CoComelon and storybook sensation, The Gruffalo.
Also appearing for the first time will be Sonic the Hedgehog™ and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters, Leo and Raph.
PR & Events Executive, Bethan Davis, said, “After the popularity of previous meet and greets we have hosted, we wanted to give our guests another chance to meet their favourite characters. We asked our guests for suggestions of who we should invite next on our social media pages, so the characters who will be joining us were the most popular.
“We feel that we have a great mix this year, from toddler TV favourites JJ and PAW Patrol to Sonic and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for older kids. We would urge guests to secure their meet and greet ticket, by choosing the pre-bookable time slots online before their visit.”
The characters will be making personal appearances at ticketed meet and greet sessions in our Safari Academy (at no additional cost to admission tickets) on the following dates:
Bluey – 25 & 26 May
Sonic the Hedgehog™ – 27 May
Hey Duggee – 28 May
Leo & Raph – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Mutant Mayhem) – 29 May
The Gruffalo – 30 May
JJ – CoComelon – 31 May
Chase & Skye – PAW Patrol – 1 & 2 June
During the meet and greet session, groups of up to six people will be able to meet and interact with the character and take a picture with them.
As well as the opportunity to meet a special character this half term, our conservation team is championing native wildlife and asking you to get involved.
Children will be able to take part in a mini bio-blitz, using a magnifying glass to see how many insects they can spot, and we'd love your help to take note of what native British wildlife you see as you travel around the Park.
By recording what you spot at the Conservation Station, (located next to the Twilight Cave), children will earn a sticker and you can also learn more about what you can do for native wildlife at home.
Additionally, our brand-new family ride, Jungle Jeeps, will be opening during May half term, featuring a tour of the tropics in a self-drive safari jeep, with lots of animals to spot on the way.
Character appearances, the four-mile Safari Drive, walk-through areas, animal talks and encounters, are all included in the admission charge and children under the age of three are free.
Guests are encouraged to book online in advance for the best prices, and a pre-booked time slot for the meet and greet sessions is essential.
