Nature of the Attraction
The wellbeing of our animals and the safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us and, given this and the nature of the Park, any attraction may have to be closed, removed, altered in type or otherwise be unavailable at any time, without prior notice for operational, technical, weather-related or other reasons beyond our control.

Our animals are free roaming within their habitats and we cannot make any guarantees or give any assurances about the visibility of animals during your visit. Due to the nature of our wildlife, sometimes they do rest in areas which are not easy to view, particularly during inclement weather, as we expect our animals to live and act as closely as their species do in the wild.
It is important to note that there may be times where animals remain in their house for their safety. This is particularly the case whenever a severe weather warning is given by the Met Office due to high winds or storms. Animal husbandry and health check-ups may also mean that some animals are not visible at certain times. As such, we cannot offer any refunds or compensation where experiences and/or views of the animals is restricted or unavailable for any reason.

- Always keep the dog on a lead and under control.
- If the assistance dog starts barking or growling, move their dog to an area where no Safari Park animals are present until the assistance dog stops vocalising.
- Only allow the dog to urinate or defecate on the grassy areas in the car park, near to the owner’s vehicle, before entering the Safari Walk and to clean up after.

We book up to 2 children on the Junior Keeper Experience, so they may be sharing other guests not in your party.
Please arrive at your meeting point at least 5 minutes before the start of the experience. We reserve the right to cancel your experience with no refund if you arrive after your pre-booked time. If you arrive late, it will be at the discretion of our VIP guides to determine if it is possible for your experience to go ahead; no refunds will be issued if you cannot participate or if your experience does not go ahead due to your late arrival.
In addition to the experience voucher, if you have booked one of the following experiences, you will also need to purchase Admission Tickets via our website or at the Ticket Office on the day:
- Star of the Sea Lion Show
- Family Creature Feature
- Mini Keeper Experience (access is included for the Safari Walk only, a separate admission ticket will need to be purchased if you would like to visit the Safari Drive).
We recommend booking your Admission Tickets online in advance for the above experiences.
Where admission to the Park is included with your experience, your VIP guide will issue your tickets on the day. Your Safari Drive ticket has an open time slot, so you can visit at any point during the opening hours of the Safari Drive. Please ensure you check the opening times online here, as the Safari Drive closes earlier than the rest of the Park. Your admission is valid on the same day as your experience only and cannot be used on an alternative date.
VIP Experiences do not include a free return.
Ride wristbands are included for the following experiences only, during our summer season (the theme park is closed every winter from November – mid-February).
- Ultimate VIP Tour
- Junior Keeper Experience
- Rhino Keeper Experience
- Carnivore Keeper Experience
- Giraffe Keeper Experience
Please advise us of any additional needs in advance of your experience or before purchasing your experience. It is up to the individual to assess their own mobility levels and fitness as some experiences will involve a degree of manual labour. We reserve the right to ask you not to continue with an experience if we feel there is a risk to your health and wellbeing. Pregnant women and guests with long term health conditions would need to seek advice from their doctor before taking part in an animal experience. No refunds will be issued if you are unable or required by us not to participate in the experience under this section.
Guests who require additional support will need to apply online through our partner Nimbus Disability, before booking in your experience. Please click here to see our Accessibility Page for more information. If approved for an essential companion (+1 on your Nimbus account), Essential Companions may accompany guests booked onto a VIP Experience for free but cannot take part in any of the experience. If Essential Companions wish to participate in the VIP Experience, they will be charged the full price of the experience.
Whilst every effort is made to accommodate people with access needs, wheelchair access is not always available due to the terrain in which the experience takes place and some of our animal experiences require some physical mobility to ensure the safety for all who are participating. Please use our contact form to get in touch before you purchase an experience voucher and our team will be able to advise on suitable experiences for your mobility levels.
Subject to the exceptions below; pictures will be taken for you during the experience by your VIP guide with the animals that you get to meet, using our own camera. Please note that for security reasons, you are not allowed to take photos or videos on your own devices. Photos of your experience will be issued to you on a memory stick (excluding Star of the Sea Lion Show & Family Creature Feature). You are welcome to bring your own camera for use when you are in the Safari vehicle only. Please ask your VIP guide to stop if you see a good photo opportunity.
- Star of the Sea Lion Show - Pictures will be taken for you during the experience by our team with the animals that you get to meet, using our own camera. You will be able to choose one photo to have printed for you. Additional photos can be purchased at a cost. You will need to visit Main Reception before the Park closes, to collect your certificate and choose your photo.
- Family Creature Feature – You are welcome to take photos on your own devices during this experience.
We reserve the right to alter the itinerary without prior notice for operational reasons. If we have to amend the itinerary for any reason, we will try to keep the experience as close as possible to the description on your booking. Refunds will not be offered where one or more parts of the itinerary change.
The food available to feed our animals will vary, to keep a balanced diet, and may differ from the promotional photos/videos.
VIP Experiences will go ahead in all weather. In exceptional circumstances, the experience may be cancelled by WMSP due to severe weather constraints. Where the experience is cancelled by us, an alternative date will be offered.
Our experiences may only be available at certain times during the year, some do not run in winter. Please refer to the individual experience webpage to find out more or use our contact form to get in touch with our team.
Once the experience is booked, refund requests will not be considered. Date changes are possible in exceptional circumstances and will be offered on a case-by-case basis and at our discretion. An admin charge may apply.
We reserve the right to reschedule any booked experience and will provide as much notice as possible. No compensation will be offered if we have to reschedule or cancel your experience.

You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase with a downloadable PDF document, that you can print off and issue as a gift.

We recommend contacting us as soon as you have a date in mind to redeem your voucher, as experience availability can be limited. All experiences are subject to availability, whilst we will always do our best to offer you your preferred date, these are booked on a first come first served basis. Although the online calendar may show availability, we cannot guarantee your chosen date will still be available once you get in touch with us to book.
Where the experience can be booked for up to 6 guests, the calendar will show availability but will not show the number of spaces still available. We cannot guarantee that the number of spaces available will be enough to cover your whole group.
Once booked, you will be issued with an email from our team confirming the attendees, date, times and meeting point instructions on your booking confirmation. Please ensure you read and understand all health and safety information given.
A VIP Experience is only considered booked in when you have chosen a date for your experience and have received a booking confirmation from WMSP which states the date, times and names of the attendees on the experience.
